In-house generation of electricity and nitrogen

Posted on

In the northern Pfalz, 65 employees work on the stuffed rolls of tomorrow. They produce the topping for the bun, bread roll or bap. Each year, the company needs 30 tons of pure nitrogen to keep the goods fresh during their transport to the customers. In the past, two nitrogen tanks had to be delivered by truck each month. In addition, the company requires electricity to fry two thousand eggs, sunny side up, every day. The solution: an in-house nitrogen system and a mini-block type thermal power station – annual savings: about 12,000 Euro.
